Kitty Hawk Airpark, few miles west of the quaint City of Live Oak, a typical southern-state town, was established in the 1975. Please log into the mls link above for the best quality photos and slide show.

It's secluded and wooded for peaceful lifestyle to enjoy country living. Also convenient to Interstate I-10, HWY 90 and close to Live Oak downtown shopping, (about 15 minutes to drive) Live Oak has all the shopping possibilities, not only for the daily needs, like Wal-Mart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Freds, Dollar Tree, Goodys, Lowes and many more small businesses. Live Oak, as the Seat of the Suwannee County, has also the School District for the entire county (Primary up to High School Degree), Courthouse, Shands-Hospital, Banks, Motels and all kinds of Restaurants, Doctors and Lawyers offices, Gyms, Tennis Courts, Bowling Center, Suwannee Music Park, Home of the Suwannee Bulldogs and much more.
The next big Shopping-Malls are 40 minutes away, drive to either Lake City, Fl or Valdosta in Georgia with Airport. Just less than one hour drive to Tallahassee, the State Capital of Florida with University, Theater, Museum, Malls, Airport and all what a State Capital can offer. Gainesville with Airport, Jacksonville with Airport and Orlando with Airport can be reached in 1 and a half and 3 hours drive with attractions as Disney World, Sea World, or Kennedy Space Center.
Just a few miles away from the Suwannee River, which gave its name to the famous song written by Steven Foster.
The both coastlines with their beautiful sandy beaches and hotels are only 2 hours away. There are plenty of other small towns nearby for leisure visits to festivals. If boating is your pleasure, set off in one of the many rivers, like the Suwannee River, for a canoe trip or drift out or fly to the Gulf of Mexico and go deep sea fishing. There is Dog Island, a secluded beautiful Island with white long sandy beaches, exclusive only to boaters and pilots.
The Kitty Hawk Airpark (FL09) has a well maintained 4000ft x 150ft grass airstrip and three 50ft. wide taxiways. The airpark is not in the flood zone. A Home Owner Association or similar organized group of owners doesnt exist. All owners have an Easement for using the runway and taxiways. There are Covenants and Restrictions, ruling the general agreements of the airpark, like Mobile Homes as permanent houses are not allowed, etc. The actual maintenance fee for the RWY was $350 and $40 per year for the RWY insurance (2014).
The Airpark has about 32 Lots and 22 houses on 1 or 2 acres land. Every lot has its own water well and septic tank system. During the last few years 7 new families bought properties, moved in and built or refurbished houses and hangars. That shows how attractive this airpark is! Kitty Hawk is connected to high speed fiber optic internet.
Our pilot-families came from all over United States to retire or stay here part time. It is like a big family, helping each other and flies out together on weekends, whenever they can. There are neighbors A&Ps, I&As (for annual inspection) and also CFIs (for your Flight Review). Actual located airplanes at Kitty Hawk: 2 Stearman, 1 Cessna-120, 2 Cessna 152, 4 Cessna-170, 1 Cessna-182, 1 Piper Vagabond, 1 Piper Tri-Pacer, 1 Piper Pacer, 1 Piper Archer II, 1 Grumman-A1, 1 Robin-Old-timer, 1 German Old-timer Bolkow-208C, 1 Homebuilt Gyrocopter, 1 Pietenpol, 1 Homebuilt Floatplane. QB Hangar is active at Kitty Hawk.
There are no restricted airspace areas around. The Regional Airport of Live Oak, the Suwannee County Airport (24J), with paved and lighted RWY/TWY and Fuel (Avgas 100L) is near located, 6 Miles east of our Airpark.
Finally, with about 320 sunny days, VFR flights are possible almost every day. What more can a pilot expect. The climate is touching the 4 seasons of the year, with the warm, but not tropical summer and the mild and blue sky, sunny winter.
