Welcome Aboard!
Hi there and thanks for taking the time to check us out! My name is Widgeon Fetcko, or "Widgie" for short. Rumor has it that I was named after the smallest Grumman Seaplane, although I probably have more hours in the largest Grumman, the Albatross, than most humans. The Albatross is my second home and is not allowed to leave without me. They tried that once, but I just went out and laid down in the center of the runway - that put a stop to that. Anyone that knows Julie knows that I am in charge at her office and accompany all property showings at Eagles Nest. I guess you could say I’m her sidekick.
Julie and I have been residents at a private airpark for eleven years…well Julie has; I won’t be eleven until September. John and Julie retired at age 39 (that would be 273 is dog years) and moved to Florida from the Atlanta area. I think they needed some entertainment in their retirement because that was when they brought me home with them. My first venture out was to be taken to the airport and flown to my new home in our private airplane. We’ve been flying together every since. I am happiest when in my element; greeting people, welcoming prospective clients, handling security for the airplane and sniffing my way across the country during my off hours. Enough about me though! I‘m here to introduce you to my favorite human, Julie Fetcko, she’s “The Albatross Lady”.
Julie has been flying since 1991. She is qualified in single and multi-engine land and seaplanes and rated in the Grumman Albatross. What we really enjoy is traveling extensively in the Albatross, “Our Flying Winnebago”. Together we have a lifestyle that is centered on aviation and includes many exciting adventures. We now have 10 years of Albatross adventures, air shows and numerous cross country trips in our logbooks. We enjoyed being awarded Judges Choice at the 2004 Lakeland “Sun ’n Fun Show” as the Best Flying Yacht. In 2005, we performed as the intermission entertainment at Budweiser Columbia Cup Tri-City Water Follies Unlimited Light Hydroplane boat competition in Pasco, Washington. We were briefly featured in the last part of The Travel Channels “Private Jets” program done with John Travolta.
Julie was recently featured on the September 2, 2007 cover of General Aviation News, for the “Living With Your Plane” publication. This cover was also selected and used for the General Aviation News advertisement in the Aviation For Women magazine. Recent stories have also been featured in International Publications such as May 2008, Aviasport Magazine (French), January-February 2008 Pilotes Magazine, and February 2008 Today’s Pilot Magazine.
All those places, all those planes, and pilots everywhere. I guess it was only natural that Julie decided to put her sales and marketing background to work selling Aviation Real Estate. Julie went on to obtain her Broker’s license to offer the highest caliber service to her clients. Matching pilots with properties has been her focus for the last four years. Her involvement in aviation events, seaplane activities and numerous communities has allowed her to develop a strong knowledge base for her clients to rely on. With booth representation at the Sun ’n Fun Annual Fly In your property will get excellent exposure in the aviation market. Whether it be matching runway requirements to buyers aircraft or helping to select the community environment that will most suit your lifestyle and personal growth, Julie will work with you to find the aviation property of your dreams.......and of course, I am there to help.
